Councilmember Daniel Prince Resigns His Position on the City Council

Daniel Prince has submitted his resignation from the Landrum City Council effective March 3, 2023. Mr. Prince is constructing and moving into a new home in Landrum. However, the home is not presently within the Landrum city limits.

Landrum Mayor Bob Briggs stated that “Daniel has been an important member of the City Council and contributed to the council in many ways during his tenure. On behalf of the City Council, I want to thank Daniel for his service on the Council and know he will continue to serve the Landrum community in other ways in the future.”

The State of South Carolina requires that a special election be held to fill his seat on the City Council. City Clerk Rita Bruce, in coordination with the Spartanburg County Elections Office, will announce the date of the special election as soon as official notified by county election officials, the filing date for prospective candidates and requirements to run for the vacated council seat.
