Planning Commission Site Visit

On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the Landrum Planning Commission visited the Berkeley Homes residential development that is under construction in East Spartanburg. The purpose of the site visit was for the commissioners to get a first-hand view and gain a better understanding of the proposed Claiborne development for Landrum.

David Richey, the developer, South Tyger Properties LLC, explained to members of the Planning Commission the planned housing styles, sizes and landscaping proposed for the units on a 65-acre parcel in Landrum between W. Rutherford, W. Jones, W. Finger Streets and S. Randolph Avenue. The houses in the Berkeley Homes development are being built by Ryan Homes and are anticipated to be built in Landrum if the project receives final approval.  The final plans for the Claiborne project will be up for consideration by the Planning Commission in 2023 at a date yet to be determined.
